I’ve been taking pictures for most of my life, whether with my 1978 Polaroid, my 1986 Nikon, my current Canon, or my camera phone. I graduated with a degree in Art History and have always been drawn to the visual arts. What I enjoy most about photography is taking a moment in time and transforming it into something timeless, a study in composition, line, or color. I think you can find beauty and something of interest in every day, unsuspecting moments, whether a hummingbird helping himself to seconds at the feeder or a goofy expression on a kid’s face at a party. Photographing the All Souls Procession was one of the most meaningful and moving experiences I’ve had so far in life.
